BOOK REVIEW: A God-Blasted-Land by Lee Carlon

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of discovering author Lee Carlon on Twitter as he promoted his latest book A God-Blasted Land: The Bastard Cadre #1 on Amazon. Lee has made this ebook a free download so I figured what the heck.

So I installed Kindle on my Android phone and downloaded the book. Surprisingly, the book is a good read with only a few spelling and grammatical errors (can be counted on a few fingers). The scene is set in the not too distant future in a Galaxy far away where the inhabited planet has twin suns.

This planet has seen it share of destruction caused by one set of human like superior beings trying to destroy another set of human like superior beings which results in destruction of almost all life (cleansing) on the planet.

The story takes place after the cleansing and is about a 17 year old boy, with a special gift, his guardian and a girl (the good guys) being chased by both groups of superior beings. One group of superior beings employs a bunch of bounty hunters that includes Dualists that can change from human-like to flying dragons.

Enough already, get the book. At 1,746 digital pages, it may seem like a lot to read but once you start reading, it is a quick read. It kept me spell bound for the few days it took me to read it.

I look forward to the book becoming a made for TV movie.
